A WWII Historical Drama about two pilots whose lives collide in the skies over war-torn Germany, one a 21 year old American B-17 bomber pilot on his first mission and the other a highly decorated German fighter pilot on the hunt for one more American bomber so he can get his Knights Cross.
As the bomber limps out of Germany after a bombing run with major damage by flak and enemy fighters, the German pulls in close for the kill... but he can't pull the trigger when he sees the condition of the bomber and its crew. Being a strict Catholic and hater of Hitler he takes mercy on the Americans and guides them out of Germany to the North Sea and toward England and their homebase.
The two pilots survive the war and meet in 1990 and became friends for life.

She's immediately sympathetic and empathetic, and because of how the cards are stacked against her, you can't help but have a serious rooting interest in her plight and misfortures... there's a great feeling that the writer is completely comfortable with the trappings and environment that Vegas/Reno has to offer. It all feels authentic and believable.
